How to Include Your Super Pet on Your Wedding Day

Weddings are meant to be celebrated with a couple’s closest loved ones. For us pet parents, that list often includes our Super Pet. 

If you’re planning for your big day soon, here are some suggestions of how to involve your pet in the festivities! 

1. Assign them as your pet of honor 

If your venue allows it, maybe your pet can be a part of the ceremony! Although, we also advise that this is best for pets that can stay calm in huge crowds and not risk going to the bathroom before the bride walks down the aisle. 

2. Include them in family portraits 

. 

This is extra special for couples whose love stories really involve their pets. Why not save a few photos of your prenup shoot for poses with your pet? While you’re getting ready on your big day, you can also bring your pet and have those memories captured too. 

3. Customize a cake topper 

One of the big wedding moments is when the couple cuts the cake. Make it even more memorable with a customized cake topper of your pet! 

4. Reserve a special super pet cocktail 

Many bar caterers that serve weddings offer options to customize cocktails for the couple. A great idea would be to reserve one special wedding cocktail in honor of your pet! 

5. Design props for your photobooth station 

Are you thinking of getting a photobooth for your big day? You can add some cutout portraits of your pet so that they can join in with all your friends and family too. These props could also be fun additions to wedding games! 

6. Have them inspire wedding gifts 

Your wedding could be a chance to help other pets find their homes. In lieu of cash gifts, you can also suggest that your guests can donate to an animal welfare organization or shelter close to your and your pet’s heart.
