Spend a Super Family Day at SM: Activities for Kids and Pets

Raising a pet is already hard, but how do you balance raising a pet and kids? It’s a challenge for many in our Super Pets Club community and we’re here to help! If you’re looking for a fun family day that both your pets and kids will enjoy, here are some suggestions for a trip to the mall! 

1. Visit the Paw Park 

Paw Parks are safe, open-air spaces for your pets to socialize and have fun in designated play zones. We’ve talked a lot about how socialization is important for our pets, but did you know that meeting pets is beneficial for kids too? The Paw Park is a great setting for kids to learn how to treat other pets with responsibility and care. 

2. Drop by to get groomed 

Experts say that involving children in pet care can help teach kids empathy, responsibility, and even build their self-esteem. You can turn a pet errand day into a bonding moment with your kids too. If you’re looking for a groomer, check out Pet Express and Our Pet Care Services branches for their availability! 

3. Celebrate with a meal 

You don’t have to leave your pet behind for your next family meal. SM Malls have tons of pet-friendly establishments and some restaurants even have special treats for your pets. 

4. Take the family for a walk 

Have you checked out the SM North EDSA Sky Garden? Or during the cooler days, have you visited SM by the Bay? Your day at the mall can be the perfect chance to take the whole family, including your pet, on a relaxing family stroll. 

5. Capture the day with a family portrait  

If your feed is full of photos of your pets and kids, this is your chance to take more! Whether at the Paw Park, by one of the mall’s aesthetic displays, or even a selfie of the whole family together, there are tons of perfect photo spots for your day out.
